Genesis 9:13-16 NKJV

“I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; “and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. “The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

Genesis 9:13-16

Location:

  • The Rainbow Lorikeet is a species of parrot found in Australia, eastern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
  • They occupy wooded habitat including tropical rainforest, open forests, woodlands, heath, mangrove forests, parks, and orchards in Australia.

  • Rainbow lorikeets feed on flowers, pollen, nectar, seeds, insects, and some fruit. They use their brush-tipped tongue to get the pollen. The tip of the tongue has hairy projections (called papillae) that soak up nectar and catch pollen. They spend most of the day feeding. A daily supply of fruit and vegetables is also important in a balanced diet.
  • They will drink nectar from a bowl when in captivity.
