Supplies Needed

  • A3/Tabloid size cardboard/cardstock (Hint: you can glue colored construction paper to a piece of cardboard to make it sturdier)
  • White cardboard/cardstock* ( download the template and print it out)
  • Colored construction paper
  • Ball of string/twine
  • Black marker
  • Tape
  • Mini clothespins
  • 2 normal/large clothespins
  • Liquid glue (like Elmers)
  • Glue stick
  • Black pen
  • Coloring materials
  • Paint
  • Paint brush

Directions:

  1. Paint the 2 large wooden clothespins with your color of choice–allow to dry.
  2. Label base sheet of construction paper with “My Memory Line” at the top and then space out the days of the week Monday–Sunday using the black marker.
  3. Cut pieces of string and align them under the days as your “wash line”–apply tape to the string in between the days and then again at the back of the sheet of paper as you fold the string over.
  4. Take your mini clothespins and glue them to the string–1 clothespin under each day.
  5. Print the clothes templates found on our website–color the clothes.
  6. Cut out the clothes and write your bible verse for each day on it, then pin it to your line.
  7. Cut out a rectangle from another sheet of construction paper. Draw another rectangle inside that one to act as your folding lines. Cut two squares from the larger square (See step 7). Fold the flaps that you just made backwards and glue the rectangle pocket to your memory line sheet. Write “laundry” on the outside.(See finished example image)
  8. Print extra templates of clothing, cut them out and put them in your “laundry basket” so you always have clothing articles at hand for your bible verses.
  9. Lastly, using liquid glue wooden clothespins on either side of your “My Memory Line” label.

IDEA: *If you can’t print on cardstock, just print the template on plain paper and glue it to a thicker sheet using the glue stick.

Memorizing scripture is a great way to ‘hide’ God’s word in your heart. As you grow in your walk with Jesus the scriptures you choose will come to mind when you need them most and at times for you to share them with others.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
– 2 Timothy 3:16
