A: The Bible, in speaking of Jesus’ creative power, tells us “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers” (Colossians 1:16). This tells us there were multiple kingdoms, not just on this earth. The book of Job gives us a little more insight when it tells us about a meeting God had somewhere in heaven and Satan came to the meeting and said he came “from the earth.” This tells us that the meeting wasn’t on the earth. These “sons of God” were the rulers of other planets, just as Adam, the first ruler of planet Earth, was called a “son of God” (Luke 3:38).
